What does your project involve?
The project supports the Nepal FabLab to provide safety training to engineering students, designers, professional technicians, and business students from all over Nepal. Impact Hub Kathmandu’s partner, Field Ready, is helping build local capacity by bringing international expertise to train local staff on safety. Courses are being developed for safe engineering practices and promoted to university students, makers and designers with an interest in enhancing their safety skills and practices.
How do you implement an inclusive approach in your project?
Our approach focuses on increasing accessibility to our programmes. Through partnerships with educational institutions, industry associations, and local communities, we reach participants from diverse regions of Nepal. We also provide equal access to our courses and workshops for engineering students, designers, professional technicians, and business students from all over the country.
To ensure equal access for everyone, we offer financial assistance and scholarships for those who cannot afford course fees. Additionally, we provide remote learning options and online resources to make our courses accessible to individuals in remote areas.
Our goal is to enable everyone, regardless of background or location, to enhance their skills and knowledge in digital manufacturing. We are committed to breaking down barriers and promoting equal opportunities for all.
